Driven by SBC’s passion for nurturing effective church leadership, the Centre for Servant Leaders is thrilled to launch the Certificate of Church Ministry (CCM) program. This program is tailored to equip you, our valued lay leaders and members, with the vital ethos and skills needed to make a meaningful impact in your church and beyond.
Our modules are led by seasoned practitioner-theologians actively involved in churches or para-church organizations or our very own faculty members of SBC. All modules are audit-only, with no academic prerequisites nor exams. Participants can choose to enrol in the full program for a certificate or choose to take individual modules according to their interests.
So who is CCM catered for? We believe they are passionate individuals regardless of any formal theological educational background, including ministry leaders, young professionals and believers who are called to any ministries and services.

Rev. Dr. David Wong and Rev. Dr. Daniel Chua, both seasoned pastors with 40 years of experience, present a Biblical Leadership course in CCM. The course begins with sessions defining true leadership versus misleadership, followed by practical teachings on effective leadership and raising future leaders. It is designed for anyone serving in a leadership role, emphasizing the importance of thinking biblically, acting wisely, and leading effectively. The focus is on the leader as a person—working collaboratively with others to fulfill God’s calling faithfully and fruitfully. Drawing on decades of pastoral experience, the instructors share real-life stories and insights to inspire mutual learning and advance the work of God’s Kingdom through effective biblical leadership.

He serves as an adjunct faculty of Singapore Bible College, and was the Mentor to the first batch of graduates in the Pastoral Fellowship Program organized by the Centre for Servant Leaders of Singapore Bible College. He trains pastors and key leaders in mission countries and serves as adjunct faculty for local seminaries. He is the author of Feeding on Ashes, which offers a Christian response to Chinese ancestral worship.

The goal is to deepen biblical understanding and improve interpretation skills.
