The Head of Centre of Teaching & Learning (CTL) provides leadership in designing and implementing innovative teaching and learning strategies in alignment with the College’s theological and educational mission. This role oversees curriculum instructional design, faculty teaching training and the integration of educational technology to enhance learning outcomes for adult learners in theological education. The role is also accountable for the development and production of digital learning materials such as video lectures, instructional clips and interactive online content to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement. Working with the Academic Affairs Domain team members, ensure content aligns with academic standards and supports faculty in delivering high-quality online and hybrid learning experiences.
The Head of CTL operates in a dynamic academic setting that integrates traditional theological education with modern instructional technologies. This role requires engagement with faculty, students and external partners to drive innovation in curriculum design and digital learning platforms. The role involves both office-based and interactive work, including faculty teaching training, strategy meetings and hands-on development of educational resources. While the work is primarily on-site at the College, there may be requirements for conferences, partnerships or professional development participation. The role also demands adaptability in a fast-evolving learning environment, balancing academic rigor with technological advancements to enhance theological education and delivery methodologies.

The incumbent will work in tandem with various office bearers to develop designs and multi-media products in line with the organisation’s direction. This position requires a hands-on practitioner of communication mediums (print, online and social media) and processes while being sensitive to target audience/s. The incumbent can take concepts and ideas to create visual representations, in both print and electronic media. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverables. Collaborating with multiple teams across the College, the incumbent should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into designs that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing and be able to find the right style and layout for every project.
